Senior Project Manager / Project Director - Client Side

Our client is a boutique construction consultancy offering construction planning, advice and client project management services across Commercial, Residential, Mixed-use, Retail and Hospitality sectors. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Director to join their professional team.

A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow and expand a business unit in a market that the company is established and respected in. Will be managing people as well as being a client representative to executive clients and in time, undertaking some business development as well.

Candidates can come from a consultancy or head contractor background and ideally have experience in sectors such as Commercial, Residential, Mixed-use, Retail and Hospitality.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Client management and consultation
• Business Development
• Project Planning/Feasibility studies
• Risk Management
• Value Engineering
• Design Management and Value Engineering
• Procurement of construction services
• Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
• Managing project delivery
• Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
• Mentor staff

  
Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering or property related qualification
• 7 to 15 plus years of end to end project management on building projects
• Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
• Leadership skills
• Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous client side project management experience ideal
