Our client is a well-established Mining House with multiple Base Metals operations within Australia. They seek to add an experienced surveyor to their team at their Underground mine in NSW.
The successful candidate must have well rounded experience within Open Cut Operations operation.

Duties
- Provide Surveying Services to Open Cut Mine
- Setting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.
- Accurate delineation of hazardous areas including voids.
- Carry out end of month processes for development and stockpile reconciliation.
- Attending technical and daily production meetings, and collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineers and the Mine Foreman
- Ensuring the survey priorities align with the operational team and resourcing to complete tasks are sufficient, e.g. shot clearance, shot markup, delineating historical underground workings & Ikon pickup.
- Training and mentoring the Surveyors and Surveying Assistant in the correct methods and standards.
- Manage risks appropriately when completing daily mine survey tasks
- Liaison with and offer advice to Geology, Environmental and Health & Safety Teams
- Assist in the Building and Updating of Accurate 3D Mine Models
- Relevant Degree or Diploma and Registration with Industry Body
- Open Cut Mine Surveying Experience
- Proficiency in organizing and completing daily underground survey tasks.
- Strong Communication Skills
