Assistant Mobile Maintenance Manager

Assistant Mobile Maintenance Manager – Open Pit Mining – Saudi Arabia
 
This role is crucial in ensuring equipment reliability, optimising maintenance strategies, driving a strong safety culture for our clients Open Pit Operations. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Superintendent, overseeing workshop personnel, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and improving overall asset performance.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure health and safety compliance for workshop personnel and equipment, adhering to ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal asset performance and uptime.
• Implement and monitor maintenance strategies such as Condition-Based Maintenance, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance.
• Develop and optimize maintenance procedures to enhance equipment reliability and cost efficiency.
• Assist in workshop and stores management, ensuring seamless operations.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety talks, and hazard recognition initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to drive continuous improvement and best practices.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering skill development and career growth.
• Provide relief duties for the Maintenance Manager when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Maintenance or Reliability.
• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role within mining, specifically with mobile mining equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Computer-Based Maintenance Systems (Preferably Fleet Maintenance Pro).
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in failure analysis and maintenance optimisation.
