Project Manager - Developer Builder

• Growing boutique client side project management consultancy who also undertakes developer builder work
• Initially 60% head contractor work and 40% client side work with some development management work happening in the future.

Projects from smaller up to $20m across a variety of sectors and across new build, refurb and fit out with a variety of projects. The current larger projects are developer builder on townhouse, apartment as well as some commercial projects too.

Our client is a growing developer builder who also undertake client-side consultancy project management work. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work on a mix of exciting new projects including new build apartment, townhouse as well as commercial projects in the Brisbane City Fringe. Projects will be from smaller up to $20m.
  
Project experience specifically related to residential, townhouses, apartments and commercial etc. would be beneficial however their work varies across retail and facilities as well. Candidates can come from client-side consultancy or main contractor, having delivery experience up to $20m+.
  
Candidates will need to have some experience in head contracting as they undertake developer builder projects so people with a background as a contract administrator, project engineer on the head contractor side will also be suitable.
  
Years of experience:
3 - 7 years +
  
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Client management and consultation
• Project Planning/Feasibility studies
• Risk Management
• Value Engineering
• Design Management
• Procurement of construction services
• Delivery of constructions services
• Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
• Commissioning and post contract duties for handover

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
• Experience on residential/accommodation building projects
• Ideally experience of end-to-end project management on building projects
• Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
• Leadership skills
• Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous client-side project management experience is ideal
