Senior / Estimator - Industrial Build Projects to $100m

Great opportunity to join a head contractor with excellent presence in the industrial sector with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects.

A market leading industrial head contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their growing business.
  
Projects will of an Industrial nature and jobs from $10m up to about $100m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors is a must, ideally 5yrs experience in industrial projects. Projects include logistics, warehousing, food and beverage manufacturing, cold storage, distribution centres etc.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Preparation and submission of tenders
• Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
• Tender negotiations
• Coordinate tender handover to project team
• Prepare budgets based on tender submission
• Assess and price contract variation orders
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years post graduate experience with a second or top tier contractor or builder on construction of industrial new build projects.
• Proven ability to tender on multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to read and understand plans
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with a strong client and subcontractor focus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work within a team as well as autonomously
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
