Senior / Estimator / Cost Planner - High Rise Residential Projects

Our client is a construction head contractor who also do come consulting work who are looking for an enthusiastic Estimator or Senior Estimator or Cost Planner to join their innovative team to work on a high-rise residential projects amongst others.
  
The candidate can come from the client or head contractor side but will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 30 to 50+ storey high rise residential projects in the Brisbane market with local knowledge.
  
Projects will be new build in nature and candidates will have needed to have priced large new build projects in the past.

5 - 10+ years
  
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates across all project stages
• Develop feasibility studies and benchmark cost analysis
• Provide procurement and tendering advice
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
• Undertake risk assessments and value engineering exercises
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (where applicable)
• Assess variations and progress claims
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management

About You

• 5 - 10+ years’ experience in cost planning or estimating (consultancy experience highly regarded)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction costs and market conditions
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Excel
• RICS or AIQS membership (or working towards) is advantageous
