Great opportunity to work with a well-known and growing tier 2 head contractor on projects from $500k - $5/6m+ across the commercial, industrial and transport hub sectors.

A market leading team with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing business.
  
Being known for their reputation for client-focused, innovative solutions, our client specialises in transport infrastructure buildings as well as commercial & industrial construction projects covering upgrades, refurbs and extensions to name a few. Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, their refurbishment work can have a large element of structural trades and demolition.
  
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects and will manage co-current projects ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the project teams in the management and administration of contracts throughout the project life cycle.  In addition, you will ensure that the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained while financial and contractual risks are minimised.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team
  • Project delivery from inception through to completion
  • Manage tender processes
  • Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme
  • Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
  • Manage project expenditure and cash flow
  • Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
  • Design management
  • Manage subcontractors on site
  • Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
  • Produce progress reports
  • Deliver and manage client expectations
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish with a builder/head contractor
  • Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams
  • Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
  • Strong project financial reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-develop
  • ed interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
