Project Manager - Subdivision & Civil

Opportunity to join a growing civil contractor delivering subdivision, bulk earthworks and general civil projects across Sydney Metro.

Our client is an established and reputable Tier 3 civil contractor with a strong presence across both the public and private sectors. Due to a significant pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to grow and are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Sydney-based team.

The business delivers a range of civil projects including subdivisions, bulk earthworks, general civil works and roadworks, with project values typically ranging from $5m to $30m. Subdivision experience is highly preferable.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of civil projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with internal delivery teams while managing subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be the main point of contact for clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Projects are located across Sydney Metro, with the role based out of the Sydney office.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing end-to-end delivery of civil construction projects
• Coordinating internal and external project resources
• Planning and programming works to meet project milestones
• Managing project budgets, forecasting and cost control
• Contract administration including variations and claims
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality and environmental standards
• Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Reporting on project progress, risks and financial performance
• Coordinating project handover and close-out

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• 5+ years’ experience delivering civil construction projects valued at $5m+
• Proven experience managing projects from award through to completion
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies
• High level of commercial acumen
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• High level of organisation and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
