Project Coordinator - Fit-out/Refurb

A market leading fit-out/refurb contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking a Project Coordinator to join their growing business.
  
Projects will be of a fit-out and refurb nature from $1m to $10m and sometimes to $20m across commercial, retail and hospitality sectors predominantly. Experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar will be an advantage.
  
As Project Coordinator, you will need to have strong commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  
The focus of this role will be Contracts Administration and the position will be based out of the head office with visits to site. The trajectory will be to become a Project Manager in time.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Project delivery from inception through to completion
• Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme
• Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
• Manage project expenditure and cash flow
• Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
• Design management
• Manage subcontractors on site
• Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
• Produce progress reports
• Deliver and manage client expectations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• Minimum 2-3 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally with fit-out/refurb experience
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
• Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Construction Safety Induction (white) card
• Ability to obtain defence clearance
