Technical and Design Lead - HV Transmission

Lead the technical and design aspects of major energy projects to deliver transformative infrastructure for Renewable Energy projects.

Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Technical and Design Lead to oversee the technical and design aspects of a large-scale energy project. This senior role is ideal for an expert with extensive experience in high-voltage transmission and energy infrastructure projects, who is passionate about leading multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.

As the Technical and Design Lead, you will manage the integration of all technical matters across projects, ensuring that design packages are reviewed on time, technical deliverables meet required standards, and project deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage technical, design, property, and O&M teams to achieve successful project delivery
• Review and ensure the timely completion of design packages, meeting technical and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate technical solutions across projects
• Oversee the integration of all technical aspects related to the connection of Candidate Foundation Generators and network infrastructure upgrades
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
• 15+ years of experience in technical and design management, particularly in transmission and energy projects (min 330kV)
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
• Extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in complex energy projects
• Strong knowledge of technical and design standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
Desirable:
• Experience in 500kV transmission projects
• Experience in managing major energy projects
• Background in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) contract structures
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver large-scale projects
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, design, or a related field
