Site Manager - Fitout / Refurbishment

A market-leading team with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing business.
  
Specialising in commercial fit-out and refurbishment, the company delivers high-quality projects for a strong client base across commercial, hospitality, industrial and retail sectors. With a portfolio spanning both small and large-scale works, you will take ownership of projects on site and be responsible for the day-to-day management of all site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standard of quality.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Full on-site management of fit-out and refurbishment projects from set-up through to handover
• Coordination and management of subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget, and specification
• Implement and maintain site safety standards including WHS compliance, site inductions, toolbox talks, and SWMS reviews
• Manage and maintain quality assurance processes including ITPs, hold points, and defect management
• Develop and manage short-term programmes, weekly lookaheads, and daily site priorities
• Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, and site access in live and operational environments
• Chair site meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant Australian Standards
• Provide regular progress reporting to the Project Manager and escalate risks or delays as required
• Manage project handover including practical completion documentation, defect rectification, and close-out

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, or similar (or trade background with relevant site management experience)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Manager role within the fit-out and refurbishment sector
• Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate trades in live environments
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural and services drawings
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Aconex, or similar) is preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
