Senior Project Manager - Demolition

Work with a well-established and reputable tier 1 demolition contractor on demolition projects in the CBD and Greater Melbourne. Must have experience as a Demolition Project Manager.

Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager - Demolition to join their growing business.
  
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building, government, industrial, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects.
  
Types of projects are predominantly demolition with typical values from $1m to $20m+ and you will typically be running one large project or 2 to 3 smaller ones. Previous experience of delivering a $20m+ demolition as a no.1 is ideal. 
  
Must have previous demolition experience. It will be a Project Manager delivery role, no need to have estimating experience. Will be working between head office and site visits. 
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Working on tenders
  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Management of site project teams
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Business development
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams
  
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 5 – 15+ years’ management experience on demolition and civil construction projects with a project value of $1m to $20m+
  • Proven demolition experience
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
