Senior / Project Engineer - Developer Builder - $300m+ Projects

Play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments for a leading Sydney property developer with a strong and growing pipeline.
  
Our client is a leading Sydney-based property development and construction group delivering high-quality residential, mixed-use and build-to-rent projects that shape great urban communities.
  
With an expanding pipeline across NSW, they are seeking a driven and capable Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer to join its growing construction team. This role offers the opportunity to work across significant developments while building strong technical, site and stakeholder management experience.
  
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects from construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to their quality standards.
  
Years of Experience:
3 – 10+ years
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Delivery & Site Coordination

• Assisting with the planning, coordination and execution of construction works
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site
• Monitoring construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones
• Reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation
• Resolving technical issues and contributing to value engineering initiatives

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Overseeing quality control across site activities
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements
• Supporting site safety systems, inspections and reporting

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

• Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assisting the Project Manager with day-to-day project administration as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 3–10+ years’ experience in a Project Engineer role
• Experience across residential and/or mixed-use developments highly regarded
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site operations
• Solid knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS requirements
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Sydney construction experience preferred
