Project Manager - Civil - FIFO

Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as civil, roads, earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.

Our client is a well-established and market leading national civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their growing business.
  
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
  
Types of projects include build earthworks, roads, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from smaller up to $50m+.
  
This role is for a project which will be based on a mine site in the Emerald area, the candidate will either live locally or FIFO. Roster will be 2:1. The successful candidate will ideally have experience on civil projects on mining sites or strong civil experience.

Years of experience:
7 to 15 years +

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Management of site project teams
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 7 – 15+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects.
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
