Mining Superintendent

Mine Superintendent – Open Pit Mining | Saudi Arabia 
 
Are you an experienced mining professional with a strong leadership background? We are seeking a Mine Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all aspects of mining operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity for our long-term trusted client in Saudi Arabia.
 
This role is critical in driving operational excellence, leading teams, and maintaining high safety standards while optimising mining logistics for continuous growth.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the mining team, fostering a positive workplace culture and strong internal and external relationships.
• Coordinate with planning and operations teams to ensure effective implementation of mining and dumping plans.
• Oversee daily scheduling for equipment, tramming routes, shovel movements, and other operational logistics.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Monitor equipment performance, track production metrics, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Investigate operational deviations, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Provide leadership in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to optimize mining operations.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance safety and productivity.
• Assist the Mine Manager in reporting and take on management responsibilities when required.

 
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

• 10+ years of mining experience, with relevant competency in open-pit operations.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
• Solid background in mine safety, health, and environmental compliance.
• Proven ability to improve operational efficiencies and safety culture.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and departmental financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video conferencing tools (MS Teams, Skype).
