Manager - Property Acquisitions

• Manage and oversee end-to-end property acquisition for major renewable infrastructure
• Lead landowner negotiations and support compulsory acquisition processes
• Join the NSW Government's flagship energy transition project

Play a key role in securing the land and property rights required to deliver the a major renewables project.

Our client  is looking for an experienced Manager – Property to lead land acquisition activities critical to the delivery of a renewable energy scheme. This role is ideal for a property professional who thrives in complex infrastructure environments and can deliver both negotiated and compulsory acquisitions in compliance with relevant legislation and government policy.

As a key member of the team, you’ll lead Acquisition and Place Managers, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and provide strategic property advice to ensure land is secured efficiently, ethically, and in line with project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage land acquisition activities for the project
• Lead and support Acquisition and Place Managers to deliver negotiated and compulsory acquisitions
• Undertake detailed property due diligence and input into strategic acquisition plans
• Prepare milestone-aligned reports to track acquisition program progress
• Collaborate across environmental planning, legal, and technical workstreams to support project delivery
• Ensure compliance with governance, reporting, risk, and probity requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
• 8+ years' experience working on major linear infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in property acquisition, easement negotiations, and working with landowners
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable:
• Experience in major energy or transmission projects
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks for NSW infrastructure projects
• Experience acquiring land for major greenfield or regional projects
• Strong understanding of NSW property law, valuation, and compensation processes
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, real estate, business, or a related field
• Previous experience leading property acquisition teams in infrastructure delivery phases
