HSEQ Advisor/Supervisor - Tier 2 Contractor

Exciting opportunity for an experienced HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) Advisor / Supervisor to join a well-established Tier 2 builder, working across two major projects in Canberra.

Our client is a nationally recognised and respected Tier 2 contractor who has successfully delivered landmark projects across Australia. With projects spanning commercial, industrial, education, health, aged care and complex environments, they are renowned for their focus on integrity, safety, quality, innovation and teamwork.

They are now seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor/Supervisor to join their Canberra team. This role will support both the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure project sites operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legislation and company frameworks.

You’ll be responsible for implementing and monitoring the companies HSEQ systems and processes on-site, fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining high standards across all project activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support the site team in the organisation and management of health, safety, quality and environment activities
• Implement internal HSEQ systems and processes on assigned project site/s
• Carry out workplace hazard identification and risk assessments
• Obtain and manage HSEQ documentation requirements
• Communicate HSEQ issues effectively to employees, subcontractors and management

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years’ field experience in Occupational Health & Safety within the construction industry
• Sound knowledge of Work, Health & Safety legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or related qualification)
• Senior First Aid qualification
