Cadet / Assistant Contracts Administrator - Developer Builder

Our client is a leading Sydney-based, property development and construction group delivering high-quality residential, mixed-use and build-to-rent projects that shape great urban communities.
  
With a strong and expanding construction pipeline across NSW, they are seeking a motivated Cadet / Assistant Contracts Administrator to join its commercial team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of construction contracts and project administration.
  
Working closely with the Contracts Administrator and Project Manager, you will support the commercial and contractual delivery of projects while developing a strong understanding of construction processes, cost control and contract administration.
  
Years of Experience:
Graduate / 0–3 years+
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contract & Commercial Support

• Assisting with subcontractor procurement, scopes of work and tender comparisons
• Supporting the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements
• Assisting with progress claims, variations and cost tracking
• Maintaining accurate contract and cost control records

Project & Administration Support

• Assisting with document control, RFIs and correspondence
• Supporting the preparation of project reports and commercial updates
• Coordinating with site and project teams to ensure information is accurate and up to date
• Assisting with meeting minutes and general project administration

Learning & Development

• Gaining exposure to construction contracts, procurement and project delivery
• Learning internal systems, procedures and best practices
• Supporting senior team members across multiple project stages

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree qualified or currently studying Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
• Graduate or up to 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Sydney-based or willing to work on Sydney construction sites
• White Card required (or willingness to obtain)
