Assistant Development Manager - Mixed Use High Rise

Supporting the delivery of a major mixed-use development across the full development lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to delivery and completion
  
Our client is a Sydney-based property development business focused on delivering well-considered projects that create long-term value. Their approach is grounded in disciplined feasibility, strong governance, and high-quality outcomes across the full development lifecycle.
They are currently delivering an exciting, large-scale mixed-use development and are seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join their team and work directly with a Senior Development Manager on this flagship project.
  
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this is a hands-on role offering genuine exposure to feasibility, planning, consultant coordination, financial performance, governance, and delivery on a complex mixed-use project. This position provides a clear, open-ended pathway into Development Management with increasing responsibility and ownership over time.
  
Candidates will ideally have prior experience in property development or a closely related field and be eager to build a long-term career in development. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams are essential.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist with development feasibility analysis, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
• Support preparation and lodgement of Development Applications and authority approvals
• Coordinate consultants including planners, architects, engineers, and specialist advisors
• Support project governance, reporting, and internal approval processes
• Work closely with project managers and builders to support cost, quality, and program outcomes
• Maintain project documentation, registers, and reporting systems
• Assist with legal documentation including consultant appointments and development agreements
• Prepare and contribute to Project Control Group (PCG) and internal reporting
  
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Property, Property Economics, Construction, Planning, Architecture, or a related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in property development or a closely related field
• Solid understanding of development feasibility and planning processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Experience on complex or mixed-use developments highly regarded
